I'm so happy to be adding this diverse retelling of A Study in Scarlet to my Sherlock shelf. It was so refreshing. Queer black women?? Sign me up. And, so excited for the rest of the series and wherever it goes. 📚 What's your favorite Holmes retelling? 📚 📚 #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #sherlockholmes #astudyinhonor #bookblogger #mystery #retelling 📚 [Image attached: A Study in Honor by Claire O'Dell in front of a bookshelf with Sherlock Holmes books. Funko pops of BBC's Sherlock Holmes and John Watson are in view.]
Welcome to Valentine's day where I ruin your day! How so? Because I binged this very popular series and hated it. Hated. It. Now that I've read multiple things in this universe, I honestly don't get the hype. It just...yeah. It wasn't good. 📚 But, you should click the link in the bio to check my review of the full series out! 📚 📚 #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #menolikey #yafantasy #hypedbooks 📚 [Image description: Me holding a stack of books. Books are Shadow and Bone, Siege and Storm, and Ruin and Rising.]
Another anti-Valentine's day post here! I've decided to join @scaredsuspensebookclub by reading this. So far, it's very good! Not at all what I expected, but not in a bad way. I'm just here for the ride! 📚 #bookclub #scaredsuspensebookclub #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #bookblogger #theone #johnmarrs #amreading 📚 📚 [Image description: The One by John Marrs laying on my floor.]
Happy book birthday to this one! I was so interested by this one that I knew I had to buy my own copy. Super excited to read this one and I'm planning on doing it soon! 📚 #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #booklover #thetest #sylvainneuvel #torpublishing 📚 [Image description: The Test by Sylvain Neuvel in front of my laptop with a quiz pulled up.]
I spent yesterday offline, so what did I do? I read half of this book! It's one of the last books I have on my #tbr for this month. And it's very good! Very readable and, usually, even-handed towards everyone involved. 📚 What did you do Sunday? 📚 📚 #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #royalfamily #princessdiana #windsors #historicalnonfiction #amreading #currentlyreading #reader 📚 [Image description: Diana by Sarah Bradford on a silver blanket.]
I got my @bookofthemonth box yesterday!! So excited. The Age of Light is a bit out of my comfort zone because it's historical fiction and romance. Not my thing. Then, as I've said, Early Riser is my new book to help me branch out into sci-fi. And, last I got A Woman is No Man so I can read more diversely! 📚 What did you choose? 📚 📚 #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #booksubscriptionbox #bookofthemonth #tbrpile #reader
