It’s spring break!!

Oh, how I’ve missed you. This week is my spring break, which I am very excited for.

Although, I’m not taking much of a break. I’m still going to see clients and I need to get ahead of some assignments so I’m not too stressed at the end of the semester, but I’m hoping to get some self-care done at the same time.

Even with all of that, I’m planning on making a TBR for my spring break. I’m insane, right? However, it’s a damn short TBR. For once.

The Hero of Ages (Mistborn, #3)

Yes. I’m going to read this book! I’m super excited about it because it’s just such a good series. It’s gonna be great. And painful. A great way to end my buddy read with Emily!

A Closed and Common Orbit (Wayfarers, #2)

I’m very excited to keep reading this series. Even more so now that I’ll be reading this with the wonderful Jesse!

Talk to me!
You all have any spring break plans?
Are you at least excited for spring??

Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Could Reread Forever

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!

Again, I wasn’t a fan of this week’s prompt (Standalone Books That Need a Sequel), so I decided to go with an old one that looked fun!

Hello, I’m Caidyn and I’m addicted to the library

I don’t know about y’all, but I love the library.

It really helps that my mom’s a librarian so I can get her help or ask for her to do something for me, but I fucking love the library.

But, lately, I have a crazy amount of books out. I think this is because I have bad book impulse control, so I put holds on new releases that interest me so I can at least leaf through them.

Yet, all of them seem to be published or start getting to me at the same time.

Right now, I have 12 books out from the library and I’m pretty sure that more will be coming in by the end of the month.

And, it’s such a problem because I have 200+ unread books that I own, which I’m desperately trying to get through, and then I have 10+ holds come in that I’m trying to read. Usually, they’re books I want to read immediately or check out if they’re new releases.

Talk to me!

What about you all? Do you use the library? Do you feel you’re addicted to it? And, if you’re from areas that don’t have libraries like most of America has, what do you use to read your books?

Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole is a meme created by Lia @ Lost in a Story.

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!

IT WORKS LIKE THIS:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

First Lines Friday

First Lines Friday

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

Hi! I got tagged by Hamad and I’m very excited to do this! Back when Chantel and I first started out, there was a tag for Disney Princesses going around. I wanted to do it but never did it. So, I’m very glad that I got tagged to! Thank you so much for the tag, Hamad!

THE RULES

  • Mention where you saw the tag/thank whoever tagged you because that’s
    always good fun
  • Tag Mandy @ Book Princess Reviews and Zuky @ BookBum so they can check out the wonderful Princess fun throughout the blog world
