It’s that time of the month again! We’re going to see what insane things I’m going to do this month with my TBR!
As usual, I never expect to get through all the books. I just want to try and see what happens and what doesn’t. I like giving myself options.
First up, I’m doing a few buddy reads this month that I’m excited about!
I have had this book on my TBR since 2014. Fucking crazy, right? But, now I’m finally going to get to it and read this sucker! And, I’m doing it with the lovely Amy!
Last month, I actually had the privilege to meet the author and I got a signed copy of the book. Therefore, I’m going to read it. And I’m reading it with Emily!
Fun fact, I also met this author at the same event (and now am the proud owner of a signed Strange Grace copy) but I haven’t read this book! I’m reading it with Melanie in a huge buddy read that’s being hosted!
Next category, as usual, are the ARCs that I have. Also as usual, I feel so grateful that I have the ability to get these.
This is the book I couldn’t talk about in my October TBR! It actually was explicitly not allowed until Halloween, so now I can talk about it. Basically, pretty excited and it looks good. This will be published November 29th!
Yes, I got this book! I’m excited to read it and I don’t know too much about it. Just when I flipped through the first pages on my phone, the writing was gorgeous and I needed it. This will be published December 4th!
Ah, marriages. Yes. This looks exciting and fun, right? I’m going into this relatively blind, so that’s going to be fun. According to Netgalley, this will be published on December 11th!
And, finally, I have a beautiful copy of the sequel to Reign of the Fallen! I feel so damn grateful for this as it’s a physical copy and even though it’s publishing in January, I need it now.
Tbh, I’m not going to put pictures up with these. Just because these are books I may or may not get to. (The ARCs and buddy reads, I do. So they get covers.) These are just books I’d love to get to this month if possible.
Totally going to finish this one up in November because, well, I love it and it’s a great month for it!
Fun fact: I tried to listen to this audiobook years ago, but couldn’t get into it. I know this isn’t a popular one by King, but I do want to read it.
Earlier this year, I read Circe and I also read House of Names. Both of those are books that deal with mythology retellings. And I’d like to round it out with this, even though I’ve heard mixed reviews.
I don’t remember when, but sometime last year, I got this from BotM. And, therefore, I really need to read this. It feels like the perfect November read.
I have the Owlcrate edition of this and I do want to read it. Another one I’ve heard mixed reviews about, but I want to see what it holds!
Tbh, I have no idea how long this has been on my Tudor shelf. (Yes. I own enough books about Tudor history that it has its own shelf. I know.) BUT, I’m in the mood for nonfiction and this is a topic I know next to nothing about. Just an episode of Lore, really.
Another one that has been on my mental TBR for a long time, but I’m going to get to it. I’ve been to the Tower twice and I feel that I should really know the history.
Dan Jones is, quite honestly, a fantastic historian. I always want to read anything by him, so this is a great excuse!
Oh yes. I’ve had this in my mental TBR since my mom made me listen to an NPR bit on it, so here we are. I got the book and I’m going to see what it’s all about!
So, there’s my TBR. I’m so glad to be getting back to nonfiction books!
What book are you most looking forward to on your TBR?
